Looking for avid and enthusiastic hiker. Should be fit enough to do 20 -30 km day hikes with 1000 to 1500 m net elevation gain ,8-12 hour days including driving to the trail heads.. I typical hike in the Banff, Kananaskis, Yoho, and icefields area. Since I do not have a car currently, and do not know how to drive, you should have a car and be willing to drive. My former hiking partner moved to Vancouver, who used to drive and go hiking with me . Now I have no one to go hike with ! However, I used to do the guiding and trail selection. I am fairly experienced hiker , have been hiking for 10 years in the area, doing fairly challenging and strenous hikes and scramble. I will cover 100% of the gas cost of driving to the trailhead (typically 1 to 2 and 1/2 hours from Calgary ), plus extra. Should have a car and know how to drive You can even select the hiking destination at times.
