Description

Role Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will assist in sourcing of materials, tools equipment and services for projects, and maintaining accurate records. The Procurement Coordinator will also liaise with other departments to streamline purchasing operations and enhance supply chain efficiency. They will fulfill requests from the estimating team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for project estimates and proposals, while maintaining and updating a material database. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive in ensuring that procurement processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the company's overall success and project timelines.   Responsibilities Price all required low risk materials or services in the most cost-effective manner from multiple vendors while ensuring technical compliance and delivery dates are met. Review and maintain the requested estimating project Bill of Materials (BOM). Accountable for estimating project quotes and ensuring that all quotes are timely sourced and received from suppliers or subcontractors to align with proposal deadlines. Work closely with project teams to gather purchase requirements and specifications for project needs. Organize quotes received and used for easy transition to the Project Procurement Team upon award. Maintain vendor relationships and assist in the analysis of supplier performance and pricing. Manage the procurement database, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurately reflect transactions. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analysis and savings opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager. Requirements Qualifications Post-secondary education or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management is preferred but not required. Accreditations such as SCMP, CPIM, CSCP would be an asset. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Experience/Knowledge of the electrical utility industry would be considered an asset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions. Familiarity with procurement softwares and tools; experience in ViewPoint (Vista) is considered a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Understanding of basic contract law and procurement regulations is an asset. Proven experience with ERP systems; knowledge of procurement modules or software, particularly in ViewPoint (Vista), is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent documentation and data integrity skills.
