Ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed Interpret building plans and specifications to determine the layout for the ductwork and other materials Have the ability to organize other workers as well as train apprentices. Be able to produce drawings for custom fabrication Use shop bending, turning, and cutting machines to fabricate ductwork and fittings Installation of ducting and related HVAC equipment such as make up air units, rooftop units, furnaces, air conditioners, fan coils, exhaust fans Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications. Fit and join sheet metal parts, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, and heat ducts, material handling systems.
