Our lab performs calibrations on electrical, temperature, pressure, torque, dimensional, and high voltage equipment. We aim for the best customer service, quickest turn around and flawless work. Sometimes it’s nice to stretch the legs and get out of the lab. We also do onsite calibrations, troubleshooting and repair. During onsite visits, you will have exposure to innovative machinery from all different industries. Our highly trained sales team will be working closely with you to bring in business and build relationships. Shipper/Receiver The Shipper/Receiver ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items. The Shipper/Receiver understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless outgoing shipments. This individual must load shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment. Shipper/Receiver will be required to assist in the scheduling of freight appointments. Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming shipments to verify contents and quality. Inventory management and relations with shipping companies are essential functions for this position. Responsibilities: Verify items and quantities on packing slips. Match product with shipping orders. Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned. Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required. Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking. Problem solves for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries. Sort, stock, and cycle inventory. Keep warehouse clean and orderly. Develop bills of landing and delivery forms online and by hand. Check orders for accuracy before shipping. Use time effectively to ensure everything is received and shipped promptly. Prepare shipping packages for inventory and equipment. Assemble pallets for large orders.   All other related duties. Qualifications: Working experience in a Shipping and Receiving role required. Basic mathematical skills. Attention to detail in all areas of work. Organized, tidy and detail oriented. Able to adapt and solve problems quickly. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have computer skills and typing experience. Experience using a forklift is an asset. Our Quality Team is currently looking to add a Quality Inspector to our team, based in the Elora and Jarvis, ON area. Reporting functionally to the Quality Manager, Substations, and operationally to the Project Manager, this position is responsible for managing Quality on Valard’s Elora and Hedley Battery Energy Storage Facility Construction sites. This includes inspecting electrical / civil installations, effectively implementing Valard’s Quality Program and Quality Management System, and compiling Progressive Turnover Packages. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Minimum of one year of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including high-voltage control and energy storage systems. Strong focus on safety, with thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to high-voltage safety protocols and procedures. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing both AC and DC electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, engineering documents, and design-specific instructions. Understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic. Experience with CAN networks and J1939 communication protocols, including troubleshooting and diagnostics (strong asset). Proficient in using digital electrical measuring tools. Experience with vendor-specific and vehicle systems such as Parker/Vansco, Cummins, Allison, and Wabco (considered an asset). Successful candidates will be required to complete the New Flyer Electrical Technician Training Program, which includes classroom training, testing, and on-the-job training (OJT).
