Mann Operations Group is an industry leader in civil construction and excavations. The Mann Operations Group includes industry leaders: Don Mann Excavating, RG Excavating, Victoria Drains, and new venture, Axis Shoring & Drilling. We are looking for a skilled Financial Controller to join our team. This position will work with our CFO and Corporate Controller to strategically support our business and financial objectives. KEY DUTIES: Oversees full-cycle accounting for subsidiaries of Mann Operations Group (Don Mann Excavating, RG Excavating, Axis Shoring & Drilling, Victoria Drains), ensuring sound accounting principles & practices. Manages, leads, trains, and supports our accounting team. Works with the Corporate Controller to provide financial analysis & recommendations. Completes timely month-end reporting and year-end documentation, managing our financial documentation and records accurately. Manages and complies with municipal, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements, tax filings, insurance plans, and other legislation (e.g. Service Canada, WCB). Requirements 10+ years in a professional accounting role (combination of experience and education is preferred). Civil construction or construction experience strongly preferred. 3+ years Controller experience leading a finance / accounting team. Advanced understanding of Canadian financial accounting best practices and law. Strong problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Growth mindset with a goal of career advancement. CPA an asset. Benefits Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually, based on skill set and experience. Bonus pay.
