HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT🎯
Facilitate meaningful assessments of children, youth, and families to uncover individual needs and strengths, helping shape personalized intervention plans that drive meaningful progress and support the goals outlined in the Behaviour Service Plan (BSP).
Actively engage with children, youth, and their families to co-create and implement individualized treatment and service plans.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, youth, and families by using effective communication, while maintaining professional boundaries and encouraging active participation in decision-making.
Collaborate with clinical supervisors, families, and inter-professional teams to develop comprehensive BSPs, and actively contribute to planning meetings and ongoing reviews of these plans.
Work collaboratively to develop, implement, and evaluate Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programs that drive positive outcomes for children and youth, while providing tailored support to families to help generalize and maintain new skills.
Lead engaging ABA-based group sessions for children and youth, under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor.
Take initiative and work independently to deliver both group and individual ABA programs across diverse settings, including centres, homes, schools, and community environments.
Proactively track and assess ABA program progress and youth's response to services, adapting intervention plans to each individual child and family.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING🎓
Post-secondary education in Behavioural Science Technology, Behavioural Psychology, or Autism and Behavioural Science.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and youth with autism and their families.
Proven experience providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of autism and child development, and the ability to implement ABA based programs and Intensive Behavioural Interventions.
Possess strong group facilitation skills with the ability to assess group dynamics and respond flexibly to various learning styles.
Demonstrated ability to set and maintain professional boundaries and engage in effective self-care.
Proficiency in the use of computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, reporting, scheduling and relational database (knowledge of MS Office 360 preferred).
Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS).
Must successfully complete required in-house training in ABA.
Have access to a vehicle, a driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
French Language proficiency, written and verbal, is considered an asset.
Flexible work hours are required.

MISSION
The Infant and Child Development Consultant is responsible for the provision of family centered infant and child development services to children from birth to school entry, who have a developmental disability and/or risk of developmental delay. The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a resourceful, hands-on, and motivated individual to fulfill the role of Infant and Child Development Consultant.
PRIORITIES
Direct 1-on-1 programming for 20-25 infants/children as outlined in the operations manual and Infant and Child Development Guidelines.
Provision of caseload duties includes:
Assessment of child and family needs, in conjunction with caregivers and appropriate multidisciplinary team members.
Design of Individual Family Service Plans and program activities for each child and family.
Use of play, routine-based, solution-focused, and coaching intervention strategies to encourage parents/caregivers to implement strategies.
Collect necessary data, update checklists and document progress made.
Ensure consultation with other professionals where appropriate.
Ensure coordination with involved agencies via reports, case conferences and phone contacts.
Meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly with the family until less frequent contact is appropriate.
Act as a liaison and referring agent for further assessments, as appropriate.
Participate in Coordinated Service Plans as appropriate.
Provide support and service to community-based groups for parents of young children.
Maintain individual child files, adhering to provincial and program guidelines.
Ensure the Clinical and Program Manager is kept informed of significant case developments.
Assist with administration duties as requested by the Clinical and Program Manager, including annual reports, operations manuals, service plans, etc.
Recruit families via communication with referral sources in the community and maintain regular communication regarding status and program provision with referral sources.
Participate in regular supervision sessions with the Clinical and Program Manager and provide accurate statistical data regarding monthly and annual program activity.
Complete all monthly administrative forms in a timely manner, including statistics, record of attendance, travel claims, etc.
Participation in the orientation, training and supervision of placement students and volunteers as it relates to the Infant and Child Development Program.
Attend relevant meetings and approve staff development.
Complete performance appraisals in conjunction with the Clinical and Program Manager.
Provision of community education sessions as appropriate.
Other duties as required.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Social Services or a related field, including Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with infants with medical, developmental and/or a risk of developmental delay.
Proven experience in infant and child development, including implementing family and child assessment and screening tools.
Demonstrated ability to design and develop Individual Family Service Plans, in collaboration with the child’s caregivers.
Strong case management skills with working knowledge of community resources and liaison.
Knowledge of funding sources available to families (SSAH, ACSD, etc.), the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, and the Infant and Child Development Guidelines.
Knowledge of complex medical and special needs, and the use of play in the intervention with young children.
Experience in coaching and teaching with caregivers.
The ability to develop resources using the family’s existing resources to support their child.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including family homes.
Experience and comfort with providing services to parents within a group setting.
Have access to a vehicle, a driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
Flexible work hours are required.

CSP is one of the largest and fastest growing private youth sports operators in the GTA. We provide fun, engaging experiences, creating lasting memories for the youth and families in our communities! We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and kid-friendly soccer coaches to join our team!
Our program starts with children aged as young as 18 months and gets them excited about "organized activities." At that age, it's way more about fun and fist pumps than it is about soccer. However, our children quickly progress into kicks, goals and even scrimmages. By the time they hit ages 5 or 6 we introduce them to scrimmages and then onto more competitive play thereafter. We continue to progress through to our oldest kids, who can be as old as 13, and are more focused on game-like situations and skill development.
We are currently hiring for Toddler / Youth Soccer Coaches who have experience working with children ages 18 months to 6 years old. Experience outside of these ranges will be considered if you have applicable experience!
Requirements
Passionate about working with and engaging young children is a must.
Availability on weekday evenings (between 4pm - 8pm) and/or weekends (between 9am - 12pm on Saturday/ Sunday).
Reliable and professional.

Able to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children.

WSET or similar certification preferable
Experience with Open Table, Silverware, Microsoft Office and Outlook is a bonus
