The FOOD + BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR position provides a unique opportunity for passionate hospitality professionals who are looking to build experience towards their ongoing career development, and build the foundations of supervising and leading in a high-volume, guest-focused environment.  This role involves floor management in a very busy and fast-paced environment, team coaching + leadership, and effective execution of administrative duties, while providing a superior level of guest engagement and experience. We are seeking a candidate with a passion for hospitality, combination of skills and experience that include operational excellence in a high-volume business, as well as a proven track record for outstanding food + beverage service, staff management, safety + compliance, a solid understanding of event execution, reservation systems and team leadership. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for supervising F+B operations. Please note: This is a seasonal position with the opportunity for long-term employment, based on performance and evolving business needs. Responsibilities: While on shift your role will include, but not be limited to: Understanding, adhering to and executing all F+B operational policies + procedures, standards and training programs Providing hands-on leadership and guidance to frontline staff to ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day operations and a consistently high level of guest service. Proactively managing floor operations, addressing any guest concerns or service challenges with professionalism and urgency to uphold the brand’s standard of excellence. Fostering a positive, collaborative, and team-focused environment, while motivating staff and encouraging accountability, communication, and growth. Completing light administrative duties as required, supporting the operational needs of the department and assisting with documentation, reporting, and communication as needed. Ensuring a unique and genuine guest experience by empowering staff to resolve issues, while acting as a supportive and active leader who will manage situations as they evolve Monitoring and managing service, quality, health + safety and cleanliness Ensuring that AGCO, municipal and provincial laws are being adhered to Working in tandem with the host team to ensure all reservations are input correctly and honored in a timely fashion and making sure that the reservation book is being utilized correctly to maximize sales whilst balancing guest satisfaction and comfort Requirements 1-2 years of progressive front of house experience in a high volume fine or casual dining environment Previous experience as a trainer and able to mentor to large staff teams Extensive food + beverage knowledge a must Experience working in various FOH restaurant roles a bonus WSET or similar certification preferable Experience with Open Table, Silverware, Microsoft Office and Outlook is a bonus Experience in dealing with multiple departments as it relates to the running of a restaurant e.g. marketing, R+M, finance etc., Demonstrated patience, tact and diplomacy while leading and working alongside a diverse team of industry professionals Ability to multi-task, remain cool and keep up in a fast paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication experience, both verbal & written Flexible to work early mornings and weekends and holidays Smart serve certified Good time management skills to balance both administrative tasks and floor management Demonstrate a drive and motivation for professional development Ability to follow up and follow through with assigned tasks and deadlines to completion Benefits We pride ourselves in providing strong leadership and development opportunities for passionate hospitality professionals who are looking to build rewarding, long-term careers.
