We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our Heat & Eat Kitchen team. The Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items with precision and consistency, ensuring high food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards. This role is vital in supporting smooth kitchen operations and delivering a great culinary experience. About the role: Job Title: Cook Department: Heat & Eat Kitchen Reports to: Sous Chef Location: Montreal, QC Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 8-4 or Sunday to Thursday 8-4 Responsibilities: Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, peel vegetables, cut meats, measure seasonings). Execute basic cooking techniques (reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.). Ensure all food is stored properly and maintain an organized, sanitized workspace. Portion and weigh prepped ingredients for ready-to-eat meals. Assemble meals in an aesthetically pleasing and efficient manner. Respect time limits for portioning and packaging meals. Follow food safety standards and quality control measures. Requirements: 1–3 years of experience working in a professional industrial kitchen or equivalent. Culinary school diploma (considered an asset). Strong ability to follow standardized recipes and meet portioning standards. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Comfortable working on your feet for long periods. Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment (0 to 4°C). Commitment to following food safety regulations and sanitation procedures. Benefits Why Goodfood?
