Work with the Director, Projects and plant managers to identify problem equipment for change or upgrade. Lead and/or participate in projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure timely and successful project execution. Manage the documentation process for projects, ensuring all necessary materials are accurately produced and maintained for future reference and compliance. Provide training and technical support to plants to ensure that our bakeries align with the most optimal process flow and equipment plans Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, product quality, and process reliability, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Monitor the above systems to detect and correct inefficiencies before they escalate Work closely with the maintenance teams to identify and address recurring equipment issues that cause delays Optimize machine settings, calibrations, and preventive maintenance schedules to ensure consistent, efficient operation and reduce unexpected downtimes. Lead regular meetings with key stakeholders to review performance, discuss challenges, and develop action plans for improvement. Site HSS Specialist
Project The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG. Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Position The Site HSSE Specialist is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG’s dynamic team. You will support the Woodfibre LNG Site team in the implementation and oversight of the Project HSSE Management System, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual HSSE requirements for the project, but also contributing to Woodfibre LNG’s enduring dedication to worker health and safety and environmental responsibility.  The successful candidate reports directly to the Site HSSE Manager (or Project HSSE Manager depending on rotational schedules) and will play an essential part in supporting the company’s construction management team through the construction phase of the project, and potentially through commissioning and start-up. This is a 2-year term position with a chance of extension.   Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will: Monitor and assist with implementation of project HSSE and regulatory requirements. Support, deliver and assess project specific HSSE training. Participates in and provide information for HSSE meetings. Support the implementation of the HSSE communication strategy on the project. Requirements Required Experience: Occupational Health certification or applicable university degree. Minimum 10 years overall experience in a similar role. Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams, contractors in a multicultural environment. Experience working in the petroleum or industrial construction industry for an owner/operator company. Experience managing HSSE on large-scale projects with EPCM models. Effective conflict resolution skills and experience. Working knowledge of HSSE processes and applicable OH&S and Environmental legislation.   Additional Requirements: Strong working knowledge of terminology related to petroleum industry and construction processes. Communication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. It includes the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which will have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and will produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.  The position will require some necessary travel to the EPC contractor’s office in Houston, Texas, USA. The location of work will be based in both Vancouver (Unit 900-1185 W Georgia Street) and Squamish, B.C. (38136 Cleveland Avenue). Position The Senior Process Engineer is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG’s operations team. The Senior Process Engineer will work with a small team of multi-discipline engineers, supporting the plant Operations group through construction, commissioning, start-up and steady state, ensuring safe, reliable and sustainable production, thus meeting our offtaker’s requirements. The successful candidate reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the company’s operations team, project management team and external stakeholders through the construction and operating phases of the project. Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will: Provide leadership to a process support team, on Process Engineering, Process Control, Production Planning and Laboratory Services. Support the start-up of the plant, working with the plant Operations group in optimizing the commissioning and start-up schedule.
