About the Position Operating within the Project Architecture & Delivery team under global operations, the Tecsys Project Manager works closely with the client’s project manager to ensure overall management of client implementation projects. The Project Architecture & Delivery team is essential to Tecsys’s solution and implementation architecture from the initial sales cycle onward. It is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of its proprietary implementation and project management methodology for Tecsys deliveries. This person will manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinate, and oversee the technical and functional activities associated with these projects. The Project Manager, supported by a Tecsys Project Advisor and an executive sponsor, is responsible for ensuring a successful implementation. The role also includes resource allocation, setting priorities, and coordinating stakeholder interactions, working with the project team to assess effort, risks, and risk mitigation solutions, and keeping the project team focused on the right objectives. The Project Manager adheres to Tecsys’s project management and implementation methodology, ensuring the integrity and quality of project artifacts and overall delivery. Responsibilities: Manage multiple software implementation projects simultaneously from start to finish. Oversee the complete budget lifecycle, including resource planning, forecasting, time reporting, and billing in coordination with the finance department. Define and document project scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables that support our clients’ business objectives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure project alignment with internal proprietary implementation methodology and best practices to apply project management standards and delivery quality. Lead and coordinate activities of a multidisciplinary team of consultants and experts within a matrix organization to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Monitor project progress against the plan, anticipate risks requiring contingency plans, recommend corrective actions, and ensure stakeholders are informed. Conduct regular status meetings with internal and client project teams and effectively communicate all planned activities, deliverables, and deadlines. Ensure all client commitments, deliverables, deadlines, and milestones are met through to completion. Report weekly on project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with internal partners as well as external vendors/consultants. Support architecture/cost estimation for sales opportunities and creation of statements of work (senior roles are expected to lead these initiatives from start to finish). Provide guidance, coaching, and advice to less experienced staff members. Requirements and Preferred Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex software implementation projects as a service provider for external clients, related to warehousing, distribution, retail, or any ERP project. Experience in the healthcare/hospital industry or in complex supply chain, logistics, and distribution. Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes (project planning, resource planning/scheduling, stakeholder management, financial management, and issue/risk management). Demonstrated understanding and experience with project delivery methodologies and application of these approaches in a formal project environment. Proven ability to develop reliable project schedules and meet them. Ability to communicate and work effectively with end users, IT, employees, and vendors/consultants. Proven experience managing large, highly complex projects involving multiple vendors and solutions (having managed budgets of at least $2 million). Strong client relationship management skills. Expert user of project management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. PMP certification would be an asset. This position requires up to 20% travel in North America. Strong command of written and spoken English. What would give you an advantage?
