Fengate is seeking an Intern, Accounting Operations to join their growing Corporate Finance team. Under the direction of the Manager, Accounting Operations and working closely with other members of the Accounting Operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling data entry and related duties in the accounts payable process.   The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong commitment to deadlines and the team, is detail and process oriented with a high sense of ownership in their work, and experience with the end-to-end accounts payable process, navigating through an ERP and payables system, pulling and formatting reports, etc. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Handle the processing of 500-1,000 invoices weekly, communicate with vendors to resolve billing name discrepancies, and provide payment updates and remittance details upon request. Setting up vendors on EFT, maintaining vendor ledger, updating remittance addresses, adding new vendors, EFT tests. Review invoices to the company for potential errors and/or discrepancies and reach out to vendors to resolve discrepancies. Ensure the strict confidentiality/ privacy of records of organization and its business partners. Requirements KEY QUALIFICATIONS Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
