//See English version below…// Role: Dialogue Audio Editor (on-call) Montreal, Canada Purpose of the Role: The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post-production team at Side Montreal. As an Audio Editor, you will ensure that all technical and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team by helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high audio quality. Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise, and artifacts. Synchronization: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronized with the project’s visual elements, where applicable. Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Use provided tools and scripts. Collaboration: Work closely with sound engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome. File Management: Organize and manage audio files, applying proper naming conventions and maintaining detailed records and backups. Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the editing process. Other: Adhere to company security, confidentiality, and health and safety procedures, and ensure team compliance. Adhere to company IT and HR procedures, and ensure team compliance. Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that your own behavior and that of others aligns with these standards and the organization’s values. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: Proficiency in Pro Tools, Izotope RX, and Excel. Preferred: Knowledge or proficiency in Adobe Audition. Ability to work in both Mac and PC environments. Strong attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality. Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Ability to adapt and learn new skills and software quickly. Strong time management and organizational skills. Self-motivated, resourceful, and a team player who can work effectively at all levels. Qualifications: Education: A degree in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in dialogue editing or a related field.
