The Production Manager will be responsible for meeting key milestones established in the approved production schedule and budget. They will also inspire and motivate the production team. Responsibilities: - Ensure all pre-production elements are planned, assigned, and completed on time, including (but not limited to): scripts, concept art, storyboards, animatics, models, rigging, etc., and that all materials are approved and ready for animation according to the production timeline. - Demonstrate excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to ensure tasks across and within departments are properly assigned, understood, and executed as directed. - Work with the Executive Producer to ensure scripts are delivered according to established schedules. - Participate in script breakdown analyses and feasibility meetings with internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborate with the Executive Producer to update and maintain overall and departmental production schedules for clients and partner studios. - Supervise production coordinators and production assistants; manage the departments assigned to them. - Use ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun) and oversee its use by the production team; ensure accurate tracking of all tasks. - Review and coordinate weekly task lists ("TO DO") with the production team to ensure up-to-date tracking and reporting. - Actively participate in scheduled team and production meetings. - Provide weekly production status reports internally and externally. Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in animation production. - Prior experience managing and tracking a production schedule. - Proven experience managing multiple departments simultaneously. - Proficiency in ShotGrid: planning, tracking, and reporting tasks. - Experience in 3D animated feature films. - Post-secondary education in Film, Television, or Production Management.
