POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Weekend Mechanic to join our team at Gee Tee Holdings, a leading diversified company of custom gravel and grain hauling, snow removal and landscaping materials. The Weekend Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our fleet of trucks and trailers and other machinery used in daily operations. This role ensures that all equipment is in excellent working condition, enabling our team to deliver high-quality services to our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform routine maintenance and repair on trucks, trailers and other machinery/equipment • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on various pieces of machinery/equipment • Conduct safety inspections of equipment before use to ensure it meets company standards • Must be able to demonstrate proficient mechanical aptitude • Ability to work with minimum supervision • Respond to emergency repair requests as needed during the weekend shifts • Collaborate with the Shop Manager to ensure timely service delivery QUALIFICATIONS: • Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on trucks, trailers, equipment, etc. • Strong understanding of tools, machinery, and mechanical systems • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and regulations WORK SCHEDULE: • Part-time, weekends (Saturday’s and/or Sunday’s) EXPECTED HOURS: 10 – 25 per week HOURLY PAY: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour BENEFITS: • On-site parking WHY JOIN US? • Opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic team • Contribute to the success of a well-established company • Work in a hands-on environment with opportunities for skill development Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their experience and qualifications for the position.
