Barrhill Feeders Inc. is searching for a full-time Human Resource and Safety Coordinator to join our progressive and growing team. Barrhill Feeders Inc. is currently feeding 75,000 head between two feedlot operations located 10 miles North of Picture Butte, AB or 10 miles East of Barons, AB. As a Human Resource and Safety Coordinator, you are responsible for the management of employee relations and of the safety program. Major Responsibilities: - Manage Barrhill Feeders Inc. safety program and keep safety material up to date. - Host safety meetings and joint health and safety committee meetings. - Manage incident reporting, safety training, toolbox talks and safety information that is available at Barrhill Feeders Inc. - Perform monthly and quarterly feed yard safety inspections with feedlot foreman. - Coordinate training events with managers, foremen, supervisors, nutritionists, and veterinarian. - Manage safety coordination with contractors performing work on-site. - Manage WCB Claims, return to work programs, and coordinate with foreman on employee’s abilities for modified duties. - Maintain PPE Inventory for employees. - Create job postings, job offers and provide new employee orientation to new employees. - Manage employee relations and engagement, assist with conflict resolution and maintain employee files. - Coordinate and perform employee performance reviews bi-annually. - Manage and maintain LMIAs and TFW work permits. - Manage and maintain records for planned maintenance and repairs for equipment and feed mill for Barrhill Feeders Inc. - Manage horse inventory, horse pay, vaccination records, health records, and quarantine periods. - Manage and implement employee benefits such as RRSP Matching and Health Benefits. - Assist with other administration and office duties as needed. Experience/Skills Required: - Valid driver’s license. - Good attitude and team player. - Works well independently. - Attention to detail. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in leadership. - Experience with feedlot operations. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: - Sedentary desk work. - Combination of sitting, standing, and walking. - Some work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Hours: - Shift Rotation: Monday-Friday - 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM (subject to change based on the time of year). Transportation: - Own transportation, valid driver’s license. The Project Coordinator must be able to work hands-on across remote, rugged job sites in rural Saskatchewan. An extensive self-directed multi-hat broad project coordination in isolated rural areas, including subcontractors, budgets, scheduling, material procurement, contracts, general trades (e.g., framing, concrete, cladding, millwork) supervision, coordination across building scopes, or field mobilization. Build and manage ICI vertical construction projects without layers of support staff. Able to lead multidisciplinary construction sites in small crews. Full site execution authority should have strong field decision-making, trade issue resolution, or logistical responses. Candidates will be given preference for hands-on coordination under local codes or labor conditions.
