Overview Essential to apply SAGE 500 (ACCPAC) certified We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to join our office team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various accounting functions ensuring all records are maintained and available for a year end filing with the Accounting firm. Payroll input and maintenance will be part of this job along with the point of sale maintenance in conjunction with IT assistance. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles, a highly organized individual who thinks logically. Duties Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely invoicing and collections. Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Input, process payroll, and records for approximately 60 employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct bank reconciliation to verify the accuracy of bank statements against company records. Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights. Utilize accounting software such as Sage 500 (ACCPAC) for various accounting tasks. Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation. Collaborate with other employee(s) to gather financial information as needed. Skills Proficiency in accounting software including and Sage 500 ACCPAC is essential. Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and accounts receivable management. Experience with payroll processing and budgeting is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports for management review. Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: - Sedentary desk work. - Combination of sitting, standing, and walking. - Some work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
