Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of our restaurant, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to perfection. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality. Help in the training of new kitchen staff as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or food service environment. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for kitchen hygiene. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
