What you’ll do to be successful in this role… Team Player Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal Operations staff including other departments and external carriers, brokers, and vendors. Cross-border Shipments/Customs Collaborate with warehouses and internal drivers and carriers to coordinate redistribution of product including creation of customs documentation. Interact with 3rd party providers including carriers and custom brokers. Oversee the customs compliance program and related trade regulations for imports and exports. Act as the primary contact to effectively resolve shipment issues compliantly in a timely manner. Understand and maintain classification data base, duties and tariffs in partnership with customs broker. Work closely with product development team to accurately classify goods according to customs tariffs Review and verify import/export tariffs and trade policies for the US and Canada to ensure compliance. Analyze and confirm accuracy of duties and fees charged on commercial invoices. Approve freight invoices. Import/Export Air/Ocean Transportation Coordinate daily activities relating to import of air and ocean shipments from Asia/Europe to North America. Schedule and coordinate container and LCL shipments, avoiding delays and penalties. Work with buyers to ensure all containers are meeting required delivery dates. Ensure each file is completely closed with confirmation of inventory receipt. Assign correct HS Codes to exported products and ensure all database records are accurate and consistent with broker documentation. Compile import/export documentation for border presentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and other customs documentation as required for shipments. Monitor freight costs, and ensure margins are maintained. Vendor Relationships Maintain strong relationships with all freight vendors including ocean, air, small parcel and cross border Participate in negotiating contracts with TCH’s interest in mind, ensuring top customer satisfaction and cost-saving initiatives Business Support Work with sales and shipping departments to process shipments via small parcel to customers. Ensure procedure and process compliance, working directly with both internal and external customers to optimize distribution channels. Requirements What you’ll bring… College diploma or equivalent in a business discipline or related field. 3-4 years’ progressive experience in Supply Chain / Inbound-Outbound Logistics, Custom Brokerage. Experience in cost and P&L management. Extensive experience in tariff classification and HS Codes. Hands-on experience with import-export processes, customs broker interaction, and liaising with warehouse operations staff required. Advanced Excel skills. Positive can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and ability to learn and adapt to changing priorities. Results-focused with well-developed priority-setting, organizational and project management skills. Collaborative team player effective at developing and maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong oral and written English communication, presentation  and interpersonal skills. Exceptional problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
