Company Overview: Our client Hood Excavac Services Inc. (HESI) is a leading underground utility construction company specializing in hydro excavation and directional drilling projects. Hood Excavac Services Inc. is looking for a Vac Truck Operator to join their team in Orangeville, ON. HESI is committed to delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations. The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum excavation trucks to support underground utility construction projects.  The Vac Truck Operator plays a key role in non-destructive excavation in accordance with project specifications and local utility regulations.  The role requires a strong focus on safety, situational awareness, and precision.  In addition to operating the Vac Truck, the operator is responsible for daily inspections, routine maintenance, and accurate documentation of work performed.  The operator should be comfortable working in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.  Key Responsibilities: ·       Operate Hydro vac truck and related equipment safely and in compliance with company policies ·       Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance ·       Load and unload materials safely, adhering to environmental and safety standards ·       Collaborate with project teams to assess site conditions and project requirements ·       Maintain accurate logs of work performed, materials handled, and time on site ·       Follow safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment ·       Document and report operational data, including job summaries and equipment usage ·       Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or crew leaders Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: ·       Valid ‘DZ’ Licence ·       Experience with vac truck or similar, an asset ·       Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills ·       Understanding of safety practices and protocols in construction environments ·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team ·       Excellent communication skills and attention to detail ·       Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety documents, and equipment manuals Benefits Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision) Group Life - AD&D - Critical Illness Insurance Hood Excavac Services Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection processes.
