Do you have experience working in finance and want to develop further? We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join Moonshot, supporting the finance team. In this role you will help push the organisation forward by continuing to improve its financial processes, as well as helping to manage the organisation's key contracts and reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Leading on the multi-currency consolidation of 5 operating companies, across the UK, Ireland, Canada and the United States. Prepare and analyse project profitability, variance analysis and management reports. Liaise with the project team on a monthly basis on adherence to grant/contract rules, billing and margin reporting. Support the Financial Director in preparing monthly and quarterly KPI and financial reports to clients, investors, and the board. Facilitate the audit process with the external auditors on a yearly basis. Line management of one direct report. Working with external payroll agents, processing and reviewing payroll for UK, US, Canada and Ireland entities. Processing and reviewing of accounts payables and receivables transactions, and ensure timely reconciliation with monthly supplier accounts. Coordinate and participate in meetings with clients and leadership team on a regular basis. Responsible for the compliance across the organisation including statutory and VAT returns across all entities. Investigate any inconsistencies. Other activities, as required. Requirements Essential: Attention to detail and highly organised. Ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines. Good knowledge and experience of using Google Workspace especially Google Sheet or MS Excel. CPA/ACCA qualified., Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting. Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Proactive and self-motivated. Tenacity in identifying and investigating inconsistencies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a similar finance role. Eligible to work in the Canada.  Desirable: Available for immediate start/short notice. Experience of preparing for audits. Grant reporting and project accounting Xero bookkeeping experience. Benefits 25 days’ paid annual leave.
