Greetings. Friendly neighbourhood handyman here. Located in Erin, Ontario and regularly serving the surrounding areas. I fix just about anything around the house, and take on larger projects as well. I consider myself one who cares deeply about the work I do, and the clients I build long term relationships with. I am one to spend the time on the details to do something well and be proud of the results. A little about me, what I do and experience: I have 10 years experience with trades work of various types - Drywall/mudding/painting, tiling, flooring, finishing work, carpentry, decks/gazebos/saunas, concrete/patios, home security systems, low voltage infrastructure, wireless networking, lighting, trim/molding, landscaping and any honey do list stuff. My regular clients call me skilled, meticulous, creative, easy to work with and passionate about what I do. I enjoy my chosen profession, and especially when challenged to build or fix something I never have before. Most of my work is through a regular client base and word of mouth referral. I am always happy to meet and work with great new clients through any channel. Some clients are happy to pass things completely off to me, others like to get involved with design and putting our heads together to find the best solutions for them. A few even enjoy working side by side with me with the tools - often they call me to speed things up, teach them some skills/tricks, or handle tasks beyond their comfort level. I prefer to work by the day, or a string of a few days (or a week) at a time. On a part time basis I am persuing my commercial pilots licence, so I ask that if calling on me for a longer period of time, to be a little flexible as I do have schooling 1-2 days per week. Apart from this, my educational background is in information technology and I worked for many years with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in a network, data center, and support role in Toronto. In the winter months my engagements are primarily with the ski and snowboard industry, serving as the Director for the Ski and Snowboard School at Mansfield Ski Club. For many seasons I have also managed the youth ski and snowboarding programs at Blue Mountain Resort, however recently passed the torch on to the next generation of passionate instructors. I continue with Blue as well as Georgian Peaks and traveling ski schools in a training capacity and as an educational leader. When I can, I travel the province and country as a course conductor and examiner for the industry certification body, the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance - to certify new instructors in Canada.
