You will be stationed on-site to handle any medical emergencies, injuries, or health-related issues that may arise, ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees. You will be well equipped to assess situations quickly, administer first aid, and coordinate with emergency services if needed, maintaining a calm and professional presence in high-pressure situations. You are responsible for the safety and emergency response for all individuals who come into your care You will deliver exceptional customer service and be prepared to step in as needed, demonstrating your expertise and professionalism to those around you Requirements Your Profile You must possess the following qualifications: You have AEMCA, or A-EMCA pending as of 2025 You have a Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) You possess a valid G class driving license You can remain calm in an emergency situation You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner. You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English. We are willing to train the right individual regarding the care and support of Shayne Mills. We are also open to bringing a healthcare support worker or aide into this position. Shayne is a 55 year old man who is paraplegic and requires assistance with meal preparation, showering / hygiene, social engagement etc. The right person will be required to familiarize themselves with electric lifts and medication / health supplement distribution. Shayne sleeps 12 hours per night and does not require night time support. Shayne is able to operate / manage his computer, cell phone, electric wheel chair and the consumption of meals as well as the use of a tooth brush. He is a delightful man who is a pleasure to work with. This position is a 24 hour sleep over position. There is a clean, private bedroom available and the position pays $314.00 / day. The client has funding through the Choices in Supports for Independent Living program. She is wheelchair reliant, and needs help with standing pivot transfers in addition to exercise. Duties include (but may not be limited to) personal care, cooking, housekeeping, driving van with lift as well as shopping.
