TEHORA is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technician (STRUCTURE INSPECTION) with strong technical skills, extensive knowledge, and a desire to apply their expertise within a versatile team. The following, while not exhaustive, outlines the services and deliverables expected from the selected candidate. Description of work or deliverables: a) Conduct structural inspections: - Participate in the preparation of the annual inspection report; The report must include, among other things: • Possible presence of signage and compliance of displayed values with those indicated on the data sheet; • Evolution of previously identified defects on specific elements; • Presence of defects that could affect user safety and comfort; • Photographs illustrating observed defects. b) Photographic report c) Defect sketches, if necessary d) Updated electronic export file from the SGE-OA system Requirements: • Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in civil engineering technology recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education. • Have successfully completed training provided by an organization recognized by the MTMD, specifically: - Structure Inspection 2008. • Possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the inspection of structures such as bridges, culverts, walkways, and retaining walls. • Be able to use the following equipment: - A cargo van equipped with a flashing light; - The latest version of the Structure Inspection Manual published by the MTMD; - Pencils and a notebook with rigid backing; - A calculator; - A thermometer; - Chalk and permanent ink markers; - Measuring tapes and/or a laser distance measurer; - A caliper and/or an ultrasonic thickness gauge; - A plumb bob; - A geologist's hammer; - A headlamp or flashlight; - A pocket knife and a set of screwdrivers; - A wire brush; - A crack gauge; - A digital camera with built-in flash; - Any other equipment necessary for fulfilling the contract. SALARY The salary will be calculated based on the average hourly rate corresponding to your profile.
