Roofer/Handyman

Looking for a job, preferably in Scugog, but willing to travel in Durham. I am currently living in Caesarea, going through a bankruptcy after losing my previous job with Clearflow Pumps & Water Treatment for the last 10 years, so that's why I'm looking for something that's a cash job. I would be getting dropped off and picked up if in Scugog, otherwise it would have to be somewhere DRT buses can get me, but willing to travel. Have worked doing water wells, pumps and water treatment for the last 10 years, have lots of plumbing and electrical experience, have done everything from roofing, framing, industrial, just about any manual job think I have done at some point, but am willing to do whatever I can get to be frank. Willing to work full-time/part-time/temporarily, whatever. I am 38 years old, recently laid off. Super quick learner and willing to work hard. Very curious and love to learn new stuff! Heavy Duty Mechanic Duties: Work closely with supervision, operations and safety departments. Preventative Maintenance, Equipment rebuilds, component change outs, Check equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Trouble shooting systems – example: hydraulic, electrical & mechanical of all equipment and determine faults and extent of repair. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer specifications. Develop work scopes and parts lists for the equipment needing repairs. Follow schedule, complete reports, and fill out work orders. Teach and evaluate and mentor Mechanics. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician (Off Road) Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Technician (Off Road) AMVIR-CVIP Licence a definite asset Possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Exhibit professional work behaviours. Committed to continuous learning. Experience with Freightliner/Western Star/ Mack is an asset.
