We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Senior Application Specialist for a 1 year contract. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in a similar role and a strong interest in DevOps, CI/CD, and software automation. You will play a critical part in supporting, deploying, and optimizing IBM Rational Test Virtualization (RTV) and related toolchains to ensure the seamless delivery of quality software across environments. Key Responsibilities: Build, install, configure, and troubleshoot the Rational Test Virtualization (RTV) application. Deploy code and manage secure environments supporting RTV infrastructure. Collaborate with Developers and QA teams to diagnose, recreate, and resolve complex system and application issues. Participate in Agile ceremonies (Kanban/Scrum), contributing to estimation, planning, and delivery. Engage in a rotating on-call schedule and be available for off-hours/weekend support when required. Champion DevOps best practices and culture to improve software quality and deployment velocity. Support and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows server environments. Continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies relevant to the role. Requirements 5+ years of experience in a similar application support or DevOps role. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting and managing Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems. Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, Java, or Groovy. Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitLab or similar platforms. Hands-on experience with Rational Test Virtualization or similar service virtualization tools. Basic understanding of cloud service providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure. Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). Knowledge of networking fundamentals and general software automation principles. Experience with logging and monitoring solutions such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Zabbix, or Prometheus. Proficiency in GIT or other version control systems. Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies. Key Attributes: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Highly innovative, adaptable, and self-directed.
