Your Responsibilities The Software Development Manager will lead two teams responsible for the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the framework supporting a major SaaS application suite. You will work closely with the Product Owner to align team priorities with the product roadmap. Alongside a team of experienced and highly skilled developers proven in delivering high-quality solutions, you will help cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in methods, tools, practices, and collaboration. Your role will also involve coaching and supporting team members to reach their full potential, while ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. As a member of the technical leadership team, you will evaluate existing solutions, contribute to technical decisions, and ensure key milestones and objectives are met. What You Will Do - Lead and mentor teams of developers, technical leads, and quality analysts - Track and effectively communicate progress using data-driven analysis - Own the team’s technical backlog, monitor progress, and ensure key objectives are met - Promote high-quality software delivery and industry best practices - Represent your teams in cross-functional initiatives and collaborations - Work closely with the platform product team and technical leadership to validate plans and ensure delivery of effective and scalable solutions - Guide and support the adoption of effective agile methodologies - Foster a positive team culture by encouraging motivation, engagement, and well-being - Support team members’ professional development by identifying and addressing their training and growth needs Your Qualifications - More than 5 years of experience managing teams in complex, technical software development environments, ideally in a SaaS context - Hands-on experience in cloud-based delivery environments - Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language and associated design patterns - Strong motivation, passion for challenges, and ability to inspire and motivate others - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset - Proven experience in full team management: hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision - Solid understanding of agile principles and practical experience implementing them - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field - Bilingualism (French and English) Strong written and spoken English is essential for effective communication with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues outside the province of Quebec.
