Smiths Falls / Perth / Brockville Hospitals | Ontario, Canada Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time Wage: $17.95–$21.48 per hour (based on experience) About the Role Join a team committed to protecting patients, staff, and visitors across three hospital sites in Smiths Falls, Perth, and Brockville. As a Casual Health Care Security Guard, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and professional hospital environment by performing a variety of security functions including patrols, access control, and emergency response. Responsibilities Provide visible security presence in assigned hospital facilities Perform routine patrols and inspections Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies professionally and safely Work with hospital staff to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for all parties Complete documentation and incident reports as needed Support the enforcement of hospital policies, including COVID-19 and mask requirements Travel to assigned sites as needed Requirements Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (from WSIB-approved provider) Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required) Full MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization Immunization records for Varicella, Pertussis, TB (Step 1 & 2) Eligible to work in Canada Willing and able to clear a respirator N95 mask fit test Valid Full G Class Driver’s License with reliable vehicle Able to travel to Kingston for pre-deployment training Flexible to work at all three locations (Smiths Falls, Perth, Brockville) Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check Strong verbal and written English communication skills Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB If not certified, willing to attend Paladin’s complimentary 4-day training (with 6-month commitment) Available to commit for at least 6 months Benefits Overtime Pay On-the-Job Training Growth Opportunities
