Flute Lessons In Fort Garry and Steinbach

My name is Lisa Prefontaine. I teach private flute lessons at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road in Winnipeg, and in Steinbach, Manitoba, through the Southeast Centre For Music at the Steinbach Arts Council. I have openings for this fall 2025 and offer reasonable rates. I hold a B. Mus. (Flute Performance) and a B. Ed. from the University of Manitoba where I studied under Jan Kocman, Principal Flutist of the WSO, and with Laurel Ridd prior. I have 26 years experience teaching flute and specialize in all levels (ages 9 to adult). I have experience teaching band and can help band students improve their grades and confidence. I focus on establishing strong foundational skills and proper technique. I provide a positive, encouraging, and fun learning environment with lessons tailored to each student's learning style and goals. I offer recital performance opportunities as well options to participate in RCM exams, Manitoba Band Association opportunities, and/or festivals if desired.
