These don't come around often. Super rare Ibanez AR2000 Prestige Artist model. When Ibanez reintroduced the Artist series for 1998, the AR2000 was the flagship model. They had an MSRP of ~$2800 Canadian back in 1998 ($2000 US), and were only available for 5 years between 98 and 2003. Thanks to their incredible build quality and rarity, 25 years later they've become collectors models that are rarely seen on the market. This one is in excellent condition. It has a couple of minor cosmetic dings that you have to really look for, otherwise it would be in mint condition. The last time I saw one of these in this type of shape on Reverb it was in Japan, and they were asking $3200. I'm asking $2200. The AR2000 features a short-horned double-cutaway mahogany body with a AAA maple top and ivory binding mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers mounted in rosewood pickup rings and with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar II fixed bridge and Quik Change II tailpiece, a bone nut, Sure Grip II knobs, and Gotoh tuning machines.
