LTL Dispatcher (USA East & West Coast Freight)

We’re a small, fast-paced transportation company based in Mississauga, ON, specializing in LTL and full truckload freight across Canada and the U.S. We're looking for a skilled dispatcher who can build and book loads efficiently and manage freight to/from both the East and West Coasts of the U.S.. Key Responsibilities Build full LTL loads to/from the USA (East & West Coast). Book freight via load boards (e.g. Loadlink, TruckStop, DAT) or directly with brokers/shippers. Optimize trailer space and routing for efficiency. Coordinate pickup/delivery with drivers and customers. Manage customs paperwork and cross-border requirements. Track and update load statuses. Handle any issues on the road (delays, breakdowns, rebooking). Work closely with the operations and driver team. Qualifications 2+ years of dispatching experience with cross-border LTL freight. Strong experience building loads and working with U.S. brokers. Knowledge of U.S. regions, transit times, and lane rates. Familiarity with Loadlink, TruckStop, DAT, or other load boards. Strong communication and organizational skills. Understanding of U.S. and Canadian border procedures. Ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-moving environment. Eligible to work in Canada. Nice to have Existing contacts with brokers/shippers. Familiarity with TMS or ELD systems. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Experience with bonded freight or temperature-controlled shipments.
