Fun, active and hands-on Reading program for students in Grade Kindergarten up to Grade 3. I am a professional Educator with the local school board for the past 30+ years. I am a mom of three teens. I developed this reading program 26 years ago, to focus on the basic foundations of reading. Seeing the excitement in students as they accomplish goals and learn to read has been a passion of mine for many years. *Each class is one hour in length. $30/hour. *Students work 1-1 with myself. *Each program is personalized to meet the student's specific needs. *We focus on mastering essential skills to give children the building blocks toward a strong reading foundation. *Students will learn new skills, gain strategies and increase confidence. Each class focuses on phonemics, sight words, fluency, comprehension, writing, word attack skills, etc. We learn through hands-on manipulative and games. Pencil-paper is limited. Students will bring an activity folder home each week with a book to enjoy at home as well as a game to play. Sessions run the natural course of the school year. Fall session: Sept-December. Winter Session: January-March Break and Spring session: March break until June. Depending on availability, students can begin anytime within a session. The "classroom" is located in Fonthill.
