Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology & Business Systems. An integral part of the ALMAG Aluminium Information Technology Department the Sr. Technical BSA will assist with the planning, organizing, and optimizing the overall operation of business systems at ALMAG.  Responsible for technical, operational support and maintenance of critical business systems at ALMAG. Ensure that business systems meet business objectives while maintaining accessible and reliable systems for internal customer use. The incumbent will monitor changes in industry trends, innovations and customer behaviours and identify potential impact and applicability to ALMAG’s strategic, market, sales and functional plans. The incumbent will develop recommendations and, once approved, will collaborate and support various team to design and implement process and enhancements within mission-critical business systems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst are detailed below, but not limited to the following:   Planning Participate in the review of business processes that results in recommendations for productivity improvements through technology Risk mitigation and planning Work with stakeholders to eliminate redundant or ineffective business procedures Enhance the customer service experience Work with stakeholders to gain agreement on solutions Analyse data to quantify benefits and assess costs Participate in presentations and meetings with Senior Management Participate in the preparation of RFPs, bid proposals, contracts Work closely with the Manager, Information Technology & Business Systems to develop application architecture and underlying services to run enterprise business systems Research emerging practices/technology and participate in long-range planning for the development of business systems solutions, evaluating new deployment models and methodologies   Operations Develop and implement business systems projects that meet agreed business outcomes Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, setting clear expectations and explaining complex concepts with non-technical audiences Provide expert guidance with hands-on help where required to solve complex and challenging business problems to the satisfaction of key stakeholders Plan, develop and on‑time delivery of effective business solutions Coordinate and perform in-depth tests for modified and new systems, including end-user reviews and other post-implementation support Support the organization through the design and implementation of robust training Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required Ensure the proper management and integrity of master data Identify and compile metrics from business systems used for data analysis and business improvements Apply methods and techniques to ensure the security of applications and data Responsible for using problem-solving and analytical skills to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions that support the extrusion production system. Support the business through the ongoing implementation, configuration, support and testing of Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system Design, deploy and maintain dashboards, ad-hoc reports, perform data analytics, and build data visualization solutions to meet business needs using Power BI or Crystal reporting Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualizations in MS PowerBI Create standard operating procedures and train users on system functionality Governance Collaborating with Business System Analysts, and IT team to resolve issue and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent Simultaneously manage multiple complex projects to ensure they meet the stated Deliver concise communication of Business Systems plans, goals, project direction and achievements Support through the development of documentation as appropriate Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline, Computer Science, Information systems management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education 5+ years in a Technical Business Systems Analyst role or similar 5+ years of relevant experience, end user training, data analysis or data management, process improvement 5+ years of work experience with MS Power Platform (PowerBi, PowerApps,  Power Automate) 5+ years Database management Systems literate, preference given to those with manufacturing, CRM, ERP system, BI & Analytics applications experience and knowledge Experience with software development methodologies - SDLC, agile, waterfall Experience maintaining master data & report management Ability to work with cross-functional teams Proven decision  making skills that engage and add value Project management training and or certifications such as Agile \SCRUM Change management certification would be an asset Technical Skills/Competence 5+ years’ IT experience with a focus on driving productivity through business systems and information architecture preferably within a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation BI \AI tools Advanced knowledge of building and maintaining reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI including DAX Queries 3 + years of experience working with the support, implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP system Strong work experience writing/editing complex Crystal Reports and SQL queries Experience with SQL Server: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS Working technical knowledge of SQL languages Strong work experience with Power Platforms (MS SharePoint, MS Power Apps and MS Power Automate) Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills Ability to learn and train on variety of software Previous experience developing and implementing successful business systems Excellent communication, customer service and presentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of the team Excellent understanding of IT service management Excellent understanding of change and release management procedures Ability to analyse, evaluate and define needs as well as to create and execute implementation test plans is essential Knowledge of budget management and vendor management Experience with API’s and web services would be an asset Perform cleanse, map and transform data to support integration initiatives Benefits We offer a full and competitive benefits package including: Profit sharing Health care spending account Education assistance program Health and dental Life AD&D Gym memberships
