Under the supervision of a team leader, operations supervisor and/or plant manager, the packaging labourer plays a key role in packaging various products while ensuring a high level of quality. The role includes the following responsibilities: · Apply good manufacturing practices, CNESST regulations, and Zinda Canada Products' work and quality policies; · Lift, load, move, and palletize loads up to 25kg manually and loads up to 1500kg using manual and electric pallet jacks; · Package a wide range of products manufactured by Zinda Canada Products; · Clean machinery and plant facilities; · Support machine operators and team leaders in their duties; · Replace operators and operate packaging machines, make adjustments, change rolls, adjust printing, perform cleaning, and carry out any other tasks related to the overall process; · Ensure required packaging materials are available; Conduct thorough inspection of assigned work area and equipment; Keep work area clean, promote and follow personal hygiene rules; Ensure packaging methods (specifications) are properly applied; Report any production, packaging, or other process-related anomalies to concerned personnel; · Maintain and be able to establish harmonious relationships with team members; Any other related duties. Requirements: • Physical ability to perform the job (capable of lifting up to 25 kg); • Ability to stand for long periods of time; • Manual dexterity and comfort using machinery and/or tools; • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and handle stress effectively; • Comfortable monitoring performance indicators; • Demonstrate independence and resourcefulness; • Strong ability to influence team members; • Ability to work in a hot environment; • Self-motivated, responsible, accurate, calm, conscientious, and reliable to perform tasks according to established standards; • Able to communicate clearly to effectively convey messages to a diverse team.
