Location: Based in Vancouver, with frequent travel across North America Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off (long hours and extended travel required) Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience Reports To: Studio Construction Manager / Director of Production Nuovo Artistic Photography is North America’s leading retail photography company, providing secure, inclusive, and empowering photoshoot experiences for women. We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Retail Construction Specialist to join our traveling studio build team. This role is responsible for constructing and installing visually striking photography sets across our North American studio locations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment. If you’re passionate about craftsmanship, travel, and empowering artistic spaces, this could be the perfect opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Build, assemble, and install scenic environments, set pieces, and studio features according to design specifications. Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and design notes to execute high-quality scenic builds. Travel extensively with the studio build crew to set up new studio locations or refresh existing ones. Operate and maintain carpentry tools, power equipment, and construction materials with safety and precision. Ensure all scenic elements meet structural, aesthetic, and safety standards. Work closely with design, photography, and operations teams to deliver seamless, on-brand studio environments. Participate in site prep, deliveries, installations, and tear-downs as needed. Maintain organized job sites and uphold safety practices at all times. Requirements Qualifications: 3+ years of professional scenic or finish carpentry experience. Proficiency with power tools, woodworking techniques, and shop equipment. Strong ability to read and execute technical drawings and build plans. Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varied environments. Experience with set builds, interiors, or commercial installations is a strong asset. Valid passport and ability to travel extensively across North America. Comfortable with long hours and a rotating schedule (3 weeks on, 1 week off). Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Background in photography, events, or visual merchandising environments. Experience working with foam, metal, and scenic finishes (painting, texturing). Basic knowledge of rigging, lighting, or electrical systems is a plus. Permit to Work Coordinator
Project The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG. Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Position The Permit to Work Coordinator directly reports to the Day Superintendent. As the primary interface between Operations and all performing authorities, you will ensure all required permits, supplementary and supporting documents are in place and properly authorized prior to the issuance and execution of work and attend Risk Assessments as required. You willconduct routine audits of permits issued to confirm PTW compliance and ensure work is undertaken safely and in accordance with the specified work scope and controls as described on the Work permit. During the construction phase of the project, you will lead the implementation of an industry standard electronic permit to work system. The Permit to Work Coordinator plays an instrumental role to ensure safe, reliable and efficient Operations at the Woodfibre site. Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will: 1.       During Project construction phase: Lead the development and implementation of the new WLNG electronic Permit to Work System. 2.       During start-up and operations phase: Have the overall responsibility for issuing permits, isolations and attached paperwork on a daily basis. Control Lock Out Tag Out activities on the plant. Administration of Lock Out Boxes & Keys system via isolation certificates. Ensure smooth permit issuing session every morning considering operational priorities. Ensure all PPE and gas detecting equipment is available to support the planned execution of work and will actively promote safety and environmental responsibilities in all aspects of work control. Ensure gas meters are maintained and calibrated and conduct Gas Tester training as required. Input to and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environmental performance targets, and actions proposed to achieve these. Participate in worksite inspections and PTW audits. Identify plant equipment and process of isolations within the bounds of the Permit to Work System and ensure that equipment isolations are correctly displayed. Carry out Risk Assessment exercises and direct maintenance teams in Toolbox Talks as appropriate. Visit working sites to follow-up progress of activities and to track any change in the environment not foreseen during the work permit preparation.   3.    Responsible for collection, validation, submission, and archiving all Permit Documentation: Collect and review all work permits prior to the daily work permit meeting with the objective of ensuring compliance with WLNG work permit procedures. Ensure that the permit electronic database is updated. Collect user feedback to continuously improve the permit to work software. Participate in the daily and periodic audit of permits, conducting permit reviews as per procedural requirements. Maintaining archive records of completed permits and isolations for any future audits. Provide daily, weekly and monthly permit to work performance reports.   4.    Planning: Coordinate Operations and Maintenance Permit planning meetings and reviews as required. Coordinate future plant planned shutdown Permit activities. Ensure and control that all the plant area activities are conducted in compliance with the applicable HSSE rules and the safe operational working practices with respect to site instructions and procedures.   HSSE: 100% compliance with company HSSE policies and guidelines. HSSE representative for the LNG Operations Team. Lead HSSE Shift Meeting/ safety walks/ PTW audits when required. Timely intervention to mitigate risks and ensure safety of personnel and plant. Initiate inputs for plant risk register and mitigation tracking process for operations. Ensure safe work practices (PTW) within maintenance for mechanical/electrical & instrumentation. Requirements Required Experience: Diploma qualifications at a technical level relative to the oil/gas industry. 4th Class Power Engineering Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas Production Facilities. Min. 3 years PTW Coordinator experience. Previous experience in implementing and working with electronic PTW systems. Experience related to oil and gas facility and equipment start-up and transition to operations.   Additional Requirements: Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes. Communication/interpersonal skills – interacting with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels. Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time frames. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g., MS Office, Document Management systems, SAP PM, ePTW systems, etc.) A valid driver’s license and passport. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
