DOF Subsea Canada is currently seeking a detailed oriented and client focused individual for the position of Survey Party Chief. A key to success for this position is the ability to collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel. The Party Chief will report to the Project Manager. We are looking to expand our survey team to support ongoing long-term multi year international and local projects. Expected 4 to 6 week rotation. Key Responsibilities Supervising checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project Coordinating and managing the mobilisation of survey equipment and software on vessel Must have a full understanding of the flow of data from the calibration at the project mobilization, through the logging and quality control of all data Development of project procedures and assist in project preparation. Management of project work scope and adhering to the contractual aspects of the project offshore. Manage, provide guidance and supervise the Offshore survey team Ensure the work is performed with adequate equipment and personnel. Ensure all personnel meet the company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety. Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Project Manager. Liaising with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew. Manage subcontractor’s field team. Responsible for carrying out offshore appraisals and encouraging / ensuring team development. Accountable for delegation of responsibility in accordance with company procedures, when appropriate. Must complete daily/end of project reporting. Responsible for Offshore QHSE. Implement and maintain survey standards throughout offshore operations. A full appreciation of the survey deliverables is required so that on completion of a project, all data will be backed up and submitted to the Project Manager/Onshore team in the agreed DOF Subsea formats. Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure a complete understanding of the commercial impact of all decisions made offshore. Requirements Key Qualifications and Experience: Post Secondary Education in Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics degree or similar education  At  least  3 years of experience  as  a Senior Surveyor Key experience in acting Party Chief or Party Chief duties Proficiency in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent communicator, reader, and writer. Incident Investigation & Reporting Leadership Communication (Training programme can compensate for lack of experience.)
