ShareJob Title: Appliance Technician/ Repair-man Reports to: The appliance technician will report to the Managing Director and/or the CEO/President Job Overview: Our team is hiring an appliance technician/repairman to support our growing team. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing appliances (i.e., laundry machines, fridges, freezers, stoves) for Marvel Albright Distributors Ltd. We are looking for someone experienced in this field as this is NOT an entry-level job. Our ideal candidate should be comfortable using tools and have a thorough understanding of the mechanics of household appliances as well as be able to troubleshoot and repair a range of home appliances, sometimes working with complex electrical systems. A friendly and calm attitude is crucial as you will have to speak with customers at times. Pay rate: $20/hr during a 2 month probrationary period; after this, a pay increase would be applied. Expected Working Hours: Monday to Friday 10 am to 6pm (Full time is expected but we are open to part-time employees as well) Responsibilities and Duties - Understand the mechanics of household appliances - Be comfortable using tools - Be able to troubleshoot and repair a range of appliances - Ability to lift up to 80lbs (handtruck assisted) - Knowledge of safety procedures and HVAC codes & regulations - Use test equipment to measure resistance, current, voltage, and more - Ability to keep a tidy workspace Qualifications and Skills - 2+ years of appliance technican experience or related work experience required - High school diploma or GED (not neccessary but a great asset) - National Appliance Service Technician Certification (NASTeC) (not neccessary but a great asset) - Time management and organizational skills - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays If you're ineterested, please email your resumes to madistltd@gmail.com to be considered!
