Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home). Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth. Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises. Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly. Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description. Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly. Requirements Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required) Negative TB Test completed within the last year Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing/ doctorate Certification Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year. This role reports to the Lead Coordinator (LC) of the respective clinic. In this role, you will provide excellence in front desk operations, clinic workflow and service to support therapists and clients to deliver a lasting impression on each client. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, eagerness and passion for getting things done in an efficient and accurate manner, all while upholding Axis standards. The responsibilities and tasks laid out for the position are representative of those that this individual is expected to perform.
