




The CircleCat Mentorship Program is a nonprofit mentorship initiative launched by CircleCat, a 501c3 organization based in New York State, USA, dedicated to helping more Chinese-speaking women enter the technology industry. As a mentee, you will receive three to four months of biweekly online one-on-one career guidance from experienced mentors (employees at major tech companies), gaining better career development advice and support. Application deadline for this cohort (September–November 2025): August 25, 2025, 11:59 PM PST Requirements Support and align with CircleCat Women in Tech's mission; Eager to enter the tech industry and seeking full-time roles at tech companies; Respect both parties' time and commit to at least five meetings with your mentor during the program; Proactively and consistently invest time and effort, and communicate effectively with your mentor; Benefits During the program, you will receive: One-on-one career guidance to help clarify your professional direction; Expanded professional network through connections with seasoned tech professionals in North America; Enhanced professional skills, including resume review, interview techniques, and technical knowledge improvement. Q&A Is there any fee? —No, there is no cost. Any request for payment under the name of CircleCat is fraudulent. If contacted by anyone demanding payment, please message us to report or contact law enforcement. Is this program only for students or recent graduates? —No. The CircleCat Mentorship Program welcomes all women aspiring to grow in the tech industry, whether you are a student, graduate, or currently working professional. Which major tech companies do the mentors come from? —Our volunteers’ company policies prohibit us from disclosing their employers, but you may assume they work at one or more companies within FLAG/FAANG. Can men apply? —Gender is not a selection criterion (gender-based selection is illegal in the U.S.). You must demonstrate genuine support for Women in Tech—past concrete actions supporting Women in Tech will be considered during recruitment. What is the difference between the Residency Program and the Mentorship Program? Can I apply to both? —The Residency Program focuses on hands-on project experience, where you’ll participate in real technical development projects and gain industry experience; the Mentorship Program emphasizes career planning and guidance. If you apply to the Residency Program, you will automatically be included in the Mentorship Program. Therefore, you may apply to both programs simultaneously.
