The role of a Product Owner/Business Analyst is essential to align expectations between stakeholders, development teams, and end users. This role combines business acumen, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of agile methodologies. The Product Owner/Business Analyst serves as an intermediary between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that the product vision is translated into actionable requirements and delivered efficiently. What will your day-to-day look like? Product Vision & Strategy: Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders (business, customers, and development teams). Gather feedback, input, and requirements from business owners, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the product meets their needs. Organize regular feedback and review sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment. Develop and maintain a roadmap outlining product features, enhancements, and deliverables. Requirements Documentation and Backlog Management: Create detailed business and functional requirement documents. Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is clear and achievable for the development team. Write detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure requirement clarity. Continuously prioritize tasks based on business value, market demand, and technical feasibility. Work closely with development teams, including software engineers, designers, and testers, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and priorities. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews. Quality Assurance and Testing: Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria. Ensure delivered features meet quality standards and user expectations. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and user needs. Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the product team and the organization at large. Requirements University degree or equivalent in business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related field. 2 to 5 years of experience as a business analyst or Product Owner in agile software development environments. Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience with product management tools (e.g., ADO). Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is an asset. Experience working in a cross-functional environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Bilingual in French and English. Experience with B2B applications (an asset).
