Paladin Security is Hiring a General Duty Security Guard! Paladin Security is seeking professional, observant, and friendly General Duty Security Guards to join our dynamic Calgary team! This role offers flexible scheduling with a mix of casual, part-time, and full-time opportunities available based on your availability and site needs. You'll work across a variety of commercial, residential, and office environments—playing a key role in helping people feel safe and supported while protecting properties, deterring incidents, and managing emergencies. Scheduling & Shift Expectations: We are currently hiring for casual, part-time, and full-time roles. Candidates must be available for at least 4 full shifts per week, with availability across both day and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service and create a safe, welcoming environment Conduct routine foot patrols (up to 18–20km per shift), including stairwells and parking structures Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances promptly and professionally De-escalate tense situations and work with emergency services when needed Enforce property policies and evict trespassers or manage crowds when required Document all activities, incidents, and concerns in detailed written reports Use two-way radios and internal systems to coordinate activities Respond to First Aid or medical emergencies if trained to do so Manage Lost & Found inquiries and items Uphold Paladin’s standards for professionalism, appearance, and conduct Requirements Required Qualifications Valid Alberta Security License (mandatory) Available for at least 4 full shifts per week, including days and overnights Access to a personal vehicle and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License High School Diploma or GED High English proficiency in speaking, comprehension, and report writing Strong interpersonal and observational skills Able to walk long distances (18–20km per shift) and climb stairs Calm under pressure and confident in emergency response situations Must be legally authorized to work in Canada Willing and able to work holidays and weekends Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Vacation
