POSITION GOAL: To lead the manufacturing cell in reaching output requirements through the efficient use of provided resources by following documented processes.  Support the key operating principles of Safety, OPEX, our lean journey, continuous improvement of our employee’s, our process, and our product.  Maintain a high standard of Quality in meeting our customer expectations.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Support all company safety initiatives.  Conduct weekly safety walks, enforce all safety policies, ensure all employees are trained in safe work procedures, submit hazard and spill reports as required.  Support and lead NF OPEX initiatives through both weekly 5S and monthly world class audits, Maintaining the housekeeping checklists and coordination of continues improvement activities.  Maintain the quality output of the cell, facilitate, and lead the self-inspection process, support the management of material through the MRB/NCP review following up on all rejected material from the cell.   Support and lead all quality training and OJT to ensure all required material and tools are available to support first time quality.  Lead the manufacturing cell by coordinating the daily cell meeting with a focus of achieving the goal of 100% build in station, efficiency, and safety requirements. Present the result and corrective action based on the weekly review of the cell metric results. Production Supervisor - Night Shift
Our Hamilton Kent ,Toronto Plant is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor. The shifts are from Sunday to Thursday nightshift, from 11 pm to 7 am.  This position is responsible for ensuring fabrication, Injection and compression molded parts are of the highest quality while using the most cost effective methods to maximize productivity outputs.  Directly responsible for the supervision of fabrication, Injection and compression molding while verifying procedures, and monitoring costs and assisting Maintenance Manager with purchasing spares. Leads and coordinates production activities directed at continuous improvement.  These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals.  Requirements Principle Responsibilities •    Manages staff activities to ensure that the products manufactured daily meet quality and budget as set by the daily schedule. •    Identifies performance and quality issues and formulates action plans to rectify problems as variances occur. •    Provides performance measures, which will enable management to identify performance and downtime issues. (Reference ISMS 11.0 and ISO Quality Management System.) •    Assigns direct reports to meet or better daily planned production schedule. Monitors progress during shift and takes corrective action.  Instructs direct reports in most efficient use of machines and tools.
