Job Title: School Lunch Program Supervisor Location: Riverheights School, Brandon MB Position Type: Part-Time Start Date: September 3, 2025 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:40AM – 12:40PM Pay: $25 per hour About the Role: Riverheights Parent Council is seeking a dedicated and friendly Lunch Program Supervisor to support our school's hourly lunch program. Students bring their own lunch from home. The position involves supporting and supervising classroom-based eating and outdoor lunch recess activities in a safe and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise students while they eat lunch in their classrooms (first half of the lunch hour), - Ensure students follow basic hygiene and safety practices during lunch, - Assist with minor clean-up as needed (e.g., wiping tables, disposing of trash), - Supervise outdoor play during the second half of the lunch hour, promoting safe and inclusive play, - Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to school code of conduct, and - Respond appropriately to minor injuries or incidents and report concerns Lunch Program Coordinator. Qualifications: - Enjoys working with children and creating a positive atmosphere, - Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team, - Ability to supervise and engage with students in both indoor and outdoor settings, - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, - Experience working with children is an asset but not required, - Must pass background checks and Respect in School Certification as required by the school or district, and - Willing to complete Emergency First Aid Certification (or already certified).
