Hello! My name is Zack, and I’m a writer, journalist, and Master’s of Creative Writing student at King’s College in Halifax. I am offering my services as an English tutor and essay editor in any subject for students from grade 1 all the way to the undergraduate level. Here are some of my credentials: - In 2023, I graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo, achieving a Bachelor’s of Arts in English, and a Minor in Philosophy. -Through winter 2024, I worked as a supply high school teacher in the WRDSB. -Also in winter 2024, I worked as an English tutor for students ranging from grades 2- 4th year university. -In summer 2025, I worked as a journalist, copy editor, structural editor, and columnist in The Community Edition. -Currently, I am enrolled at King’s College in Halifax as a Master’s of Fine Arts creative writing student. From the many writing classes I took throughout my undergrad, and the ones I continue to take in my Master’s, I have lots of experience editing and criticizing the work of others in an emotionally vulnerable setting. This is one of my greatest strengths as a tutor: the ability to collaborate with and guide students while building their self esteem. Having recently graduated myself, I understand the pressures, frustrations, and various difficulties that students face today. I want to help them achieve their very best, both in grades and their experiences with writing and literature in general. I have a deep passion for literature, writing, and written expression. As a tutor, I bring energy, warmth, and rigour to every single session. I provide lessons online as well as in person (as long as students are in the KW area). My rate is $45/hour. Contact me now in time for this school year!
