Lessons in Piano, Theory and Composition

Hello, I’m Yanik Fillion-Murphy, an experienced music teacher with an extensive background in piano, composition and theory. I teach piano classes in a dedicated studio space at my home in Ottawa (Riverain Park). Lessons are offered to all ages and level, in French or English! Lessons are tailored to the Individual's Musical goals and needs, whether you're preparing for a Royal Conservatory of Music exam, auditioning for post-secondary studies in music, or simply want to learn to play your favourite songs on a new instrument, I have experience and an open approach to help you accomplish your goals. In our weekly lessons, we focus on developing a strong foundation through a classical music education, while also including my students’ specific interests such as film music, jazz, pop or video game music. My training and performance background includes an ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance, B.Mus in Piano Performance from Brandon University and a M.Mus in Music Composition from the University of Ottawa.
