What is the opportunity? Based in Calgary and working within the Structural Engineering Group, the Contract Administrator will be an integral part of ensuring Entuitive meets the high level of service we expect of ourselves, and our clients have come to rely on, in the construction phase of our projects. This position will be primarily responsible for contract administration for projects in construction but will also have opportunity to contribute to our Construction Engineering design team. The role will involve both office and field responsibilities. We would like to supplement our existing team with a self-motivated individual, with leadership skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment. What will you do? Be Entuitive’s primary point of contact with our Clients and construction partners. Contract administrative duties such as shop drawing review, review of change orders, review progress billings, answering RFI’s, issuing Site Instructions and Structural Design Notices, attend site meetings, and field reviews. Manage contract administration for several projects in parallel involving multiple internal and external teams. The projects will vary in building types, structural materials, and delivery methods. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with contractors, clients, and colleagues. What other areas can you be involved in? Contribute to the development and maintenance of Entuitive’s construction administration processes and best practices as part of the CA Knowledge Centre. Support our Construction Engineering team with opportunities to be involved in the design, management, and administration of shoring, temporary bracing, formwork & falsework, building demolition and relocation, and all other manners of projects related to the support of construction activities. Requirements What do you need to succeed? A civil engineering degree with a structural focus or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma with a Construction Management focus. Professional registration with APEGA or ASET. Minimum 2-4 years industry experience in building construction. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including junior Entuitive staff, project stakeholders, and clients. Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basis. Flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations and shifting priorities, when necessary, while maintaining communication and a positive attitude Working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete, steel, wood, and masonry. The degree to which an individual contributes to, leads or proactively drives a portion of the business defines the role of Associate. All Associates act as subject matter experts in engineering technologies, methods and practices by keeping current with emerging trends and market shifts in order to recommend and implement best practices and client-centric solutions. This role will typically oversee and manage a team either on a project or within a department by taking a hands-on approach and by providing guidance to ensure a high level of project delivery and service. The role will actively promote Entuitive services across all networks within the industry and communities in which we work. The Associate will ensure all work is carried out in full support of our Vision, Mission, Values and One Company culture. To be an Associate at Entuitive one must contribute in no less than two of the core areas of our business as defined below and work to maintain a high standard across these areas. What will you do? Leadership & Mentoring Provides day-to-day guidance to teams ensuring to foster a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and creative solutions are supported. Responsible for developing staff through mentoring and providing ongoing feedback along with conducting the annual review process to grow the future leaders of the firm. Participates in corporate leadership by contributing to the structural engineering service strategy and internal committees (Technical, BD+Marketing, Production Management, QC, etc.) Business Development & Client Relations Provides creative and technical input into proposal development working closely with the marketing team to clearly demonstrate Entuitive’s capabilities. Focusses on maintaining existing client relations by ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and services offered exceeds our clients’ expectations in terms of quality. Work winning is a part of the Associate role. Technical Delivery Provides technical expertise to other engineers ensuring a high level of engineering by conducting technical reviews and instilling adherence to QA through established guidelines and best practices. Engage and implement Quality Control measures and activities supporting a continuous improvement mind set and a commitment to delivering quality work. Investigate and promote the use of advanced methods, techniques, technology or processes within project teams and throughout the firm. Delivers preliminary and detailed designs as required and oversees mark ups and the coordination of specifications, and terms of reference complying with relevant codes and standards. Responsible for signing and sealing drawings as needed ensuring a high level of professional integrity and a commitment to high quality standards. Project Management Responsible for effective project management including managing project budgets using the appropriate cost control methods, and ensuring scheduling and resourcing plans meet the needs of project deliverables. Responsible for client correspondence and communication including fee letters and status reports, ensuring the client and stakeholders are kept abreast of issues and resolutions are timely and well managed. Associates fulfill the role of a project engineer or project principal on multiple projects depending on the size and complexity of the projects. Requirements What do you need to succeed? Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in civil engineering (with a focus in structural), or architecture, accompanied by a P.Eng. licensed to practice in Alberta, licenses in other locations considered and asset. A minimum of 10 years progressive experience with a proven track record of delivering complex and sophisticated structural engineering projects related to industrial or municipal infrastructure. Knowledgeable of local market conditions, emerging trends, and opportunities. Strong business acumen, contract negotiation skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Proven ability to build relationships and develop networks. Superior knowledge of construction processes and building materials related to new construction projects as well as the restoration of existing buildings. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders utilizing conflict resolution skills. Strong project management skills with ability to manage scope, schedule and budget within a large project team. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proven client service capability along with the experience to effectively manage multiple teams simultaneously. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while juggling competing priorities. Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Access to a passport and desire to travel for work is an asset. Project Controller

Our Project Management group is currently looking to add a Project Controller to the team, based onsite across Western Canada. Reporting to the Director, Project Management Office, the Project Controller provides project controls and related services to support the Construction Manager through all stages of project execution, including engineering and design, construction, commissioning and completion. The role is broad in scope and requires the successful applicant to be flexible and collaborative in their approach, applying attention to detail and proficiency in schedule, cost and project reporting, change management, stakeholder relations, communication management and document control. The successful applicant will be required to hit the ground running and be able to work utilizing existing systems and also be comfortable developing these and/ or new tools to meet project requirements as the need arises. Please note: this is an hourly position and requires travel to client sites across Western Canada Duties and Responsibilities Provide project controls support to Construction Manager, functional leads and the project management team Act as the liaison between project operations and corporate controls Organize field processes to support project controls activities Gather information and submit project reports for internal review and for distribution to clients, (including but not limited to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports) Ensure project performance metrics are established and tracked Attend and participate in project and stakeholder meetings and document/distribute meeting minutes Project planning and scheduling, including coordinating schedule update reviews Track, manage and analyze internal and external costs Procurement and sub-contractor management utilizing purchase order book and accounting system Change management, including setup and support for processes and systems Continuously improve project control related activities Requirements Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field of work 10-15 years of project related experience in the oil and gas, pipeline construction or infrastructure industries Demonstrated experience managing project controls and related activities Proven ability to develop and manage spreadsheets, project schedules and summary reports Experienced in estimating oil & gas and/or pipeline construction projects Advanced user of scheduling software such as MS Project and Primavera Preferred Skills / Qualifications PMP, CAPM and/or PENG, CET certification Able to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Ability to lead teams Aptitude for planning, analysis, and problem solving Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes a complete range of employee benefits to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
