Company Name:  Gemini Machine Works     Title of Position:  Machinist -  Gemini Machine Works     Business Address: 1606 - 13th Street Nisku, Alberta T9E 0K4     No# of Positions: 6     Terms of Employment: 3 year full time year round      Language Requirement(s): English     Wage: 37.00 $ per hour     Benefits Package (if applicable):  WSA plan - Health spending account, wellness spending account and extended medical and dental 70/30 paid as well as short term and long term disability employee option/paid starts after 90 days.     Hours (each week): 32     Location of work:  1606 - 13th Street Nisku, Alberta T9E 0K4     Education: No degree certificate or diploma     Work Experience:   5 years or more       Job Duties: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables Repair machine tools and parts Set up and adjust production machineries/tools Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments   Efficient undertaking of machining projects as assigned. Responsible for the finished quality of machined pieces. Responsible for completing machining and manufacturing projects as per the shop schedule. Manual machining as required Vertical and horizontal turning, horizontal boring mill experience Mastercam, Mazatrol, Conversational & G-Code Programming experience. Fanuc & Heidenhein controls experience considered an asset Hands-on, milling, turning, and live tooling experience. Responsible for the verification of toolpaths & modelling fixtures prior to production. Determine proper tooling and testing of new tooling and techniques for optimization. Maintain a proactive and positive approach when completing assigned tasks either individually or as part of the team. All other duties which may be assigned based on the company’s requirements.       Job Requirements: Journeyman certification or equivalent is required Meeting customer expectations; working closely with Foreman. Meet the operational objectives while complying with the overall corporate goals. Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness. Identify, investigate and correct unsafe practices. Support employee development, mentorship and growth.
