I’m reaching out because I’m in a difficult situation and truly need some support. I recently left an abusive relationship and have taken the step of pressing charges so I can’t return and to ensure accountability. As I’ve been rebuilding, I’ve discovered that many of the financial responsibilities I believed were being managed were actually neglected. I’m now trying to urgently catch up on essential expenses. One of the most immediate concerns is rent, which I am at risk for eviction . I am currently short $531 to cover Aprils Rent and stabilize the situation. Any amount of support—whether a loan or partial contribution—would make a meaningful difference right now. I am expecting backdated EI payments for the past several weeks, as I was recently approved after taking medical leave due to injuries from the relationship. Once those funds arrive, I am committed to repaying anyone who is able to help me. I’m also happy to provide proof that the payment has been made, for transparency and accountability.
