We are looking for a tool and die maker on behalf of our partner, a major aerospace, commercial and industrial transportation company located in Laval. Role and purpose of the position As part of their duties, the tool and die maker will assemble and change tools according to predefined criteria and ensure the constant availability of required tools for operations. Main responsibilities Assist other tool and die makers with more complex tasks Assemble tools into tool holders Use the "Zoller" machine to perform tool assemblies and input tool data Provide technical support to the programming department Perform any other related tasks associated with the position Skills Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, to individuals, and adjust according to evolving needs Initiative: independently addresses problems Reliability: honors commitments, accepts responsibilities, remains focused under pressure, demonstrates diligence and punctuality Learning ability: fully understand all machining steps and successfully complete the training plan Health/safety: promotes mutual respect, maintains a clean and safe workspace, supports safety-related programs Requirements Completed secondary education Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role French fluency, English an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Suite DEP in Machinist option (an asset) Knowledge of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, concave and convex radius gauges Ability to identify drill bits (drills) in inches, metric, fractions, and number sizes
