The band has been active on and off since 2007 with 3 full length records released, 3 national tours, and one international tour under their belt. I guess we're prog in that our arrangements can be complicated, but we don't play a million notes. Think elder instead of dream theater if that makes sense. We honor the riff more filling the space with a lot of notes.\r\n\r\nWe are now seeking a new drummer for the band. We have a few fill-in drummers interested in doing some shows in the short term which we will pursue to keep active, but we're seeking a drummer who would like to join as a member of band. \r\n\r\nWhat were looking for:\r\n- a dynamic drummer who can play a variety of styles but with a strong background in metal.\r\n- Ability or willingness to play in different time signatures\r\n- Confident with double kick, however we don't dwell on it. There is a lot of times you won't be using it, but important for the vocabulary.\r\n- semi pro-ish gear\r\n- ability to record demos with electric drums would be a huge plus but not mandatory.\r\n-Familiarity with reaper, midi drums, and guitar pro would be a benefit but not required.\r\n- A car is ideal since we rehearse in Hamilton, but ability to get to Hamilton go station is fine. I'm happy to pick you up at the station.\r\n- Someone who can plan their life a bit in advance and who doesn't do frequent unannounced travelling. I don't expect anyone to available all the time. I'm fine with takings several months off from shows. People have a life and I'm respectful of that, but booking shows and tours takes a lot of work and often needs to be done a few months in advance. I deeply value musicians who understand their schedule and commitments so no one's time is wasted. Ultimately I want to play with musicians who want to play in an active gigging band. But also live your life, but let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly so we're busy upon your return.\r\n\r\nIdeally we would do a week or so of touring every spring/ summer with rock n roll weekends periodically sprinkled throughout the year. Members of the band are currently 30 and 40.
