Our Auto Body Technician must be able to take a vehicle in a damaged state and repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The Incumbent is detailed oriented and can multitask to accommodate shifting priorities. Primary Objectives of the AutoBody (Collision Repair) Technician: Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed Thoroughly examine collision damage (Review the complete vehicle exterior body parts, check all power accessories (door locks/windows/mirrors are operational) check that the dash panel has no warning lights on. Identify any prior damages overlooked on the QA checklist/ or related on the supplemental damage sheet.) Performing structural and complete body repairs: Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components. (Assess, Repair or Replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories, doors and frame and underbody components) Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment, Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers. Welding on vehicles with the use of MIG welders and compression spot welders. Fully dismantle the complete vehicle damaged areas including the blend panel parts in order to identify all hidden damages as early in the repair cycle as possible. For example remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroof Ability to file, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, apply primers and repaint surfaces. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams Restore vehicle to factory specification (Return the vehicle back to factory/OEM specifications) Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling Technician must be able to read and understand the estimates. Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures. Able to work with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical, and mechanical parts. Experience using frame and measuring equipment. Experience with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Auto Body Repair and refinishing experience - 3+ years required Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License (310Q) (Preferred but not a must) or in a registered apprenticeship program. Durham Community Health Centre has been selected as the lead agency for the new Homeless Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in the Durham region. This innovative hub will provide life-changing services for individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, helping them regain stability and rebuild their futures. The Hart Hub is a 24/7 operation, providing continuous support to the community. Position Overview As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will deliver comprehensive, client-centered primary care and addiction-focused health services to individuals experiencing homelessness and/or substance use challenges in the community. The NP will provide primary care assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of clients with complex physical, mental health, and substance use concerns – working collaboratively with internal and external providers to ensure integrated, wraparound supports aimed at improving access, reducing barriers, and addressing social determinants of health. The NP will activate clinical pathways, referring clients to additional DCHC services and connecting them with community- based and specialty services as indicated. The NP will demonstrate advocacy and leadership skills to champion and support goals that align with and achieve DCHC’s Strategy, Vision, Mission and Values, internally and externally, in the context of safe and ethical NP practice. Key Responsibilities · Provide client-centered primary care in a non-judgmental manner, including clients as partners in their care, recognizing the social determinants of health and associated health risks, and taking the stance of a health advocate. · Actively participate, seek, and provide consultation within an inter-professional model of care · Perform clinical assessments and health information gathering for clients with complex needs · Provide nursing services that address the biopsychosocial needs of clients, including clients with multiple comorbid health conditions, mental health diagnoses and/or concurrent disorders involving substance use/abuse. · Perform intake assessment activities for new clients · Contribute to providing more accessible targeted services to community members within high-priority populations, including the homeless population and individuals recovering from Addictions, through direct service, referrals, and navigation. · Complete timely and accurate medical records of client encounters, documentation and third-party correspondence using DCHC’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. · Support client safety through evidence-based practices and adherence to policies and standards including communication and teamwork, infection prevention and control, safe medication practices, safe use of equipment and facilities, and risk reporting. · Contribute to activities related to the development, implementation and evaluation of medical directives, policies and procedures, best-practices, and protocols. · Adhere to and promote evidence-based practices and standards of best-practice in keeping with DCHC clinic operational guidelines. · Actively participate in case conferences when required. · Participate in chart audits, development, and implementation of Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and accreditation activities with Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA). · Demonstrate active participation in the CNO Quality Assurance (QA) Program to ensure maintenance of continuing competence to practice and with DCHC’s performance management requirements. · Participate in DCHC agency training activities and meetings as requested. · May provide clinical supervision and training for nursing students. · Ensure client care and caseload is managed to achieve the goals of DCHC’s Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) Key Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN). Completion of a recognized primary care NP program NP-PHC Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class, Primary care. Member of the Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario (NPAO) or Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) is an asset. Minimum of three years’ experience working as a primary care NP with clients having complex needs, preferred. Knowledge of relevant services and community supports in Durham Region is strongly preferred. Prescribing Narcotics and Controlled Substances certificate endorsed by the CNO, is preferred. Experience working in a CHC setting or other community health nursing practice is an asset. Experience working with communities and individuals who face barriers accessing traditional health care services. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively and respectfully in a collaborative, inter-professional team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients in a non-judgmental manner that can be effectively understood – practicing active listening skills to understand client needs and coaching of clients as collaborative partners in their health care. Demonstrated ability to manage crises in an effective, professional manner. Demonstrated excellent written skills and report writing for a clinical setting. Basic CPR certification required.
